    Army Pvt. Travis Coon has graduated from the air defense artillery command and control system operator/repairer course at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas.

Coon is the son of Pat Hedeen, Nappanee, and Roger Coon, Sioux Falls, S.D.

September 29 1980

    ROCHESTER - Donna Dicken established a Warsaw Community High School girls individual golf record as she fired a 40, leading the Tigers to a 194-268 triumph over Tippecanoe Valley at the Rochester Municipal Course.

Dicken's four-over-par effort was two strokes better than the previous WCHS record of 42, shared by Lori Neville (set in 1976 at Maxwelton) and Claudia Kreicker (1979 at Rozella Ford).

    Donald Lozier, of Warsaw, special agent for Columbus Mutual Life Insurance Co., recently received honors for his outstanding service.

He qualified for the company's 1955 "President's Own" club. This group is composed of agents who meet certain requirements combining volume of production with high standards of service, quality and persistency of business. Lozier is a teacher at Warsaw High School.
