Jake Pritchard and John Bowser, students in Forrest Croop's woodworking ship at Warsaw High School, have turned out an interesting gadget to aid Milo Clase, WRSW sportscaster, in keeping tabs on activities during high school football games. Two blocks of wood, one with four vertical sides and the other with 10 verticle sides, are mounted on a wooden base so they turn on center posts. The sides of the blocks are numbered 1 to 4 and 1 to 10, respectively, the former being used to denote downs and the latter to indicate yardage. The blocks are turned toward the observer to provide a running check on the number of downs and the yardage yet to go for first down.
