    Brian Swanson and Amanda Weaver were named king and queen during Friday homecoming festivities at Warsaw Community High School. Brian is the son of Randy and Barb Swanson, and Amanda is the daughter of Ken and Sue Weaver.

September 28 1977

    Trooper James D. Springer received an award for accumulation of 350,000 safe driving miles with the Indiana State Police. The award was presented at the Indiana State Police Post at Ligonier by Sergeant John P. Hummel. Trooper Springer is a 10-year veteran of the department and has been serving in Kosciusko County since March of 1977.

September 28 1952

    2nd Lt. Lester E. Yeiter, son of Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Yeiter, Warsaw, is home on a 15-day leave after completing officers training school at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. He received his commission as second lieutenant in ceremonies held last Friday.

    Marjorie M. Baker has just received a Certificate of Proficiency from the Sherwood Music School of Chicago for excellent work done in technic and theory in the local branch of that school in this city under the direction of Oscar M. Baker. Miss Baker is the daughter of Naoma L. Baker, west of Warsaw.
