    Pete and Veradawn Young of Warsaw were the winners of Bob List Photography's Spectacular Spouse Contest for July.

As grand prize winners, the Youngs were treated to a professional portrait session with Bob List and then a limo ride, courtesy of Warsaw Limousine Club, to the Brick House Restaurant, Goshen, for a complimentary dinner.

September 26 1977

    A 23-year era of public service to Kosciusko County will come to a close on Oct. 1 for Superior Court Judge Allan A. Rasor who is stepping down from the judicial post.

The only judge of the court since it was created by the Indiana Legislature in 1968, Rasor said he was stepping down "to protect my health." He added that he might enter a limited private law practice in the future.

September 26 1952

    John Bennett, 13-year-old Warsaw school boy was happy today. He was one of the few to get an autograph of both Gen. and Mrs. Eisenhower when the train, carrying the republican candidate's party stoped her Monday morning.

Incidentally he received $10 from his uncle, Louis Eliopulos, of East Main Street, who thought he couldn't do it.

September 26 1927

    Diving from the top of a 100 foot ladder into a shallow tank of water on top of which is flaming gasoline will be one of the free attraction stunts fair week presented by Capt. Jack Payne. This act will be located on the Center ward school yard corner opposite the county jail. Previous to his jump Capt. Payne will shoot fireworks from the top of the ladder, then make his death-defying leap.
