Seniors Debbie Cormany and Mark Dye were crowned Warsaw Community High School Homecoming Queen and King during ceremonies at the halftime of the Northern Lakes Conference football game with Rochester. The queen is selected by a vote of the senior class while the king is determined through a penny-a-vote contest with proceeds going into the cheerleader fund.
S/Sgt. Ben M. Bauman, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bauman, South Whitley, is now in charge of training and operations of his squadron at Lowry AFB, Denver, Colo.
Alfred Shane holds the local big fish record for the season with a catch of 6-1/4-pound bass last week. Bass fishermen report fishing the past summer was not as good as previous years, although recently some good catches of blue gills have been exhibited here.
