An historic quilt is exhibited in the art and needlework department of the fair, bearing this description.
"This quilt was started in the year 1836, pieced and quilted by Mary Burket. She was a cousin to the Burkets in Warsaw. It is 93 years since this quilt was started. At the death of Mary Burket, this quilt was given to her niece, Mary Burket Meredith, and at the death of Meredith it was given to her granddaughter, Mary Kathryn McFarland, of Akron."
