CLAYPOOL - The Claypool Fall Festival was celebrated Saturday and Sunday with scores of parade entries and photogenic youngsters vying for the cutie titles.
The sons of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pfeiffer, 4-year-old Casey, and his brother, Tracey, 3, aren't much bigger than a giant 105-pound pumpkin that was grown in the family garden. The Pheiffers live on Monoquet Road north of Warsaw.
Mrs. Orlie Shaw and Mrs. Merlin Keener were initiated by Women of the Moose in a service conducted at the lodge hall by Ethel Neer.
A badge of the "Tippecanoe and Tyler Too" presidential campaign is treasured by Aaron A. Rasor, deputy county clerk. In this campaign William Henry Harrison, Whig, defeated Martin VanBuren, Democrat, in the campaign of 1836 which was 94 years ago.
