    Kelly Loughlin and Ryan Long crushed existing course records as they led Warsaw's boys and girls cross country teams to victories over Northern Lakes Conference foe Goshen Tuesday night at Warsaw Community High School.

Loughlin ran a career best and course record 15:56 and Long ran the course in a time of 16:32.

    Ten-year-old Terri Cox, Warsaw, placed sixth at halter and third in the combined junior-senior working hunter class at the 1976 Indiana State Fair.

September 20 1951

    Neighbors and friends of Lester Anglin, Tippecanoe, recently plowed 40 acres for him and prepared the land for the planting of wheat. Those who brought tractors and worked were Charles Gordon, Herbert Anglin, Eugene Weirck and Lee Mullins.

Anglin was injured two weeks ago while riding a horse.

    A lovely bouquet of astors and zinnias was presented at The Times on Saturday by T.B. Campfield, of near Burket, who gathered them from his own flower gardens. He also showed a potted Jones Scarlet astor from one root and bearing more than 50 blossoms.
