Elbert (Louie) Morts was presented a certificate of service on his August retirement from the Warsaw plant of Kimble Glass. Louie served the plant as a dedicated employee for 35 years and 11 months.
Randolph J. Swanson, CLU, Rt. 2, Warsaw, representative of the Midland Mutual Life Insurance Co., led the 400-person field force in production for the month of August, it was announced by James B. McIntosh, president of the Columbus, Ohio-based firm.
Four young Hoosiers are in the technicolor movie, "Rich, Young and Pretty." One of the Four Freshmen, vocal and instrumental group, is Hal Kratzsch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kratzsch, of 928 E. Main St., who plays the bass viol and trumpet and sings baritone.
C.T. Rentfrow celebrated his 90th birthday anniversary September 12 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joda Sparks, on East Market Street. Several members of the family were present and a delicious dinner was served by Naomi Lackey.
