    Linda Sittler Williams, a North Manchester High School graduate, formerly of Warsaw, has received her doctorate of medicine with highest distinction.

She is currently doing her internship at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, and plans to conduct her residency program at a Rochester, N.Y., hospital. She specializes in neurology.

    William L. Brenneman, biology teacher at Warsaw Freshman High School, has been selected to receive the National Association of Biology Teachers' Outstanding Biology Teacher Award in Indiana for 1975-76.

For his dedication and service to biology students, Brenneman will receive a certificate and a stereomiscroscope.

    The Borkholder Amish School northwest of Nappanee has been reopened after being closed for several years. The school, which will include only Amish students, was opened Labor Day after the building had been thoroughly renovated and remodeled to meet state requirements and yet stay within the bounds of the Amish belief.

    The current issue of the "Indiana Farmers Guide," published at Huntington, contains an illustrated story on "The Discovery of Marl" and referring particularly to R.A. Scott's figurative gold mine at Winona Lake, from which point many tons of marl are being hauled to Kosciusko county farms.
