    Each week the Warsaw football coaching staff names several players of the week, and this week's choices have been announced.

The offensive lineman of the week was Dale Davis; the defensive lineman of the week were David Hall and Chris Neeley; the offensive back of the week was Doug Light; the defensive backs of the Week were Kevin Hackworth and R.J. Hall. The scout team player of the week was Chris Helton.

    Mrs. William (Doris) Camden, Warsaw, was re-elected president of the Indiana Shorthand Reporters Assn. at a recent meeting held in Fort Wayne.

It was reported that all the shorthand reporters attending the convention were capable of writing down every word on this newspaper page in 14 minutes - faster than most persons could read every word aloud.

    The W.R. Wedrick Farms, Silver Lake, captured the grand championship Hampshire boar award at the state fair, it was learned Friday.

Myron VanLue, of Akron, was awarded the grand championship for Spotted Poland China sows.
