    Warsaw Community Schools has selected E. Ann Robinson, English teacher at Warsaw Community High School, as the 1992 Teacher of the Year.

In honor of her achievement, Friday was declared "Ann Robinson Day" at Warsaw Community High School.

September 12 1977

    Members of the Warsaw Police Department Pistol Team brought home several trophies after placing first among several Class C teams at a police match held at Coper Canyon near Elkhart.

Former Pierceton Marshal Brant Nellans won first place in individual Class C competition, and City Police Patrolmen Paul Schmitt and Michael Mock won first place in Class C team competition. City Police Capt. Ted Ward is also on the team.

    Eloise Marie Bilby and Judith Mary White, of Warsaw, and Miriam Lee Bernhardt, Winona Lake, have been admitted to the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing at Indianapolis as members of a class of 110 pre-clinical students. The new students will complete their pre-clinical studies in six months and will graduate as nurses in 1955.

    Gifford Menzie, son of Mrs. Ben Mitterling, of this city, is entering the Chicago Conservatory of Music, where he will study piano and cornet. The young man was graduated last spring from the local high school and is a talented musician.
