    Timmie L. Myers of Pierceton, who is a National Guard Sergeant assigned to headquarters and headquarters company of the 1st Battalion, 293rd Infantry, was among the top 23 distinguished National Guard marksmen selected to compete as a member of the All National Guard Pistol Squad at the U.S. National Championship Matches.

Sept. 9 1972

    Completing the first phase of the new link-up being established between the National Criminal Information Center and the Warsaw Police and Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department is the installation this week of an IBM 2470 computer terminal at the Warsaw Police Department.

Sept. 9 1947

    Snooping around, we ran across an old baseball shoe worn by the late Billy Sunday, evangelist. The shoe, plated with bronze, is on the counter at the Crownover Store in Warsaw. It is inscribed as follows: "Billy Sunday's Baseball Shoe, presented to Edmon T. Hains by Mrs. W.A. Sunday, 1947."

Sept. 9 1922

    H.D. Kerr will early in September begin his ninth year of service in hauling pupils to the Oswego and Leesburg schools. Heretofore he has used a horse drawn vehicle, but this year will have a motor propelled hack. Levi Hartman, who also hauls pupils to and from the Oswego school, has purchased a truck which will replace a horse drawn vehicle.
