Preliminary soil work began this week at the property along Old Rd. 30 West where the City-County Athletic complex is planned.
Cadet Roger A. Beigh, son of Mr.and Mrs. Edwin M. Beigh of 321 S. Country Club Drive, Warsaw, is one of more than 850 cadets who have entered their senior year at the U.s. Air force Academy.
When the kindergarten class at Center Ward proved too large, part of the kids were shifted to another class at the high school building. Commenting on the matter, five-year-old Sherry Dick, daughter of Roger Dick, S. Union St., said: "I went to kindergarten one day and now I'm in high school."
John Kline, who resides on the bank of the Tippecanoe River at Oswego, already is producing sweet cider for summer resorters at Cripple Gate Heights, Tippecanoe Lake, and has found a ready sale for the beverage.
