Robert Grindle was chosen last summer as the eighth-grade artist winner at Edgewood Middle School for his silhouette with a basketball theme. The award is given to recognize student endeavors in art. Grindle's work will be added to a permanent collection on display at the school.
Seniors Kevin Marose and Marti DeWitt were named 1978 Homecoming King and Queen at Wawasee High School Friday. The queen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry DeWitt of Syracuse. Marose is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Marose of Leesburg.
Carolyn Loher and Dorcas McConnell, of Leesburg, Elwyn Weiss, of Mentone, and Dana Bowers, of Sidney, attended the ice show at Fort Wayne Friday evening.
Robert Wilt, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Wilt, North Detroit Street, who has been traveling with an orchestra now playing in New York City, will accompany this same orchestra to Australia next winter.
