    Petty Officer Bradly A. Johnson, a 1990 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, was named a Distinguished Military Graduate upon completion of Twin-Screw Basic Hot Plant Course at Service School Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Johnson is the son of Vern and Nancy Johnson, Warsaw.

    Three persons were recipients of awards during the recent open house at Unique Design and Artisance, 1043 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw.

The winners were Mrs. Joseph Mendenhall, 1043 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw, painting; Dave Schenkel, Huntington, stoneware bowl; and Barbara Stookey, Rt. 7, Warsaw, macrame planter.

    Pvt. John Bumbaugh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Judd Bumbaugh, Gilliam Street, will have his 21st birthday on Oct. 25. He is at Fort Monmouth, N.J., taking a 20-week course as radio repairman for the signal corps.

A graduate of Warsaw High School, John worked for the N and J Auto Sales before he entered the army July 7. He had infantry basic at Camp Gordon, Ga.
