    Members of Rozella Ford Golf Club were presented awards at Saturday's Awards Day Dinner. Awardees are Amy Higgins, Tom Heuer, Norma Pinkerton, Jay Shively, Marj Neville, Jane Grossnickle, Jim Kilgore, Clete Couture, Jack Carpenter, Kevin Powell, Brian Davis, Jerry Aylor, Ron Hampton, Duane Gable and Rozella Master Professional Don Dicken.

    Following a Viking football victory, Tippecanoe Valley High School Homecoming Queen Melinda Meredith and King Brett Miller were crowned during the dance last night by the 1976 Queen, Sheila Shewman. Melinda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Meredith, Burket, and Brett is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Miller, Claypool.

    Mr. and Mrs. William Riley, Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Bucher and Mr. and Mrs. Artie Carr, of Silver Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Foster Parker and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rose, of Claypool, have returned from a trip to Canada. While in Canada they fished, hunted bear and enjoyed the scenery, which included many waterfalls. They report that the hard maple trees there were in full autumn color.

    Donald "Chub" Stamats, former Warsaw High School and Indiana University star football player, registered two touchdowns Saturday for Central State Teachers' College of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., against Adrian College. The teachers won 25-0. Stamats playing right half registered two touchdowns and "drove the bleacher crowds wild," says a Kalamazoo sport writer.
