    A quartet of area basketball players from Warsaw and Triton high schools teamed together to win a pair of recent 3-on-3 tournaments. The team won their division in the Blueberry Festival in Plymouth as well as the championship in the Bourbon Days tournament. Teams members are Ryan Gould and Ryan Monesmith of Triton, along with Kevin Ault and Brodie Ewert of Warsaw.

October 8 1978

    Senior Kim Frantz was named 1978 Homecoming Queen at Warsaw Community High School and Joe Nelson was selected King. The queen is the daughter of Mrs. Columbus Slone Jr. and James Frantz, both of Warsaw, and the king is the son of Sherman Nelson and Nancy Nelson, both of Warsaw.

    Troop No. 6 of the Girl Scouts held an election of officers at the meeting held Thursday at the armory. Maureen Moore is president; Judy Orr, vice president; Nan McHatton, secretary; and Nancy Lloyd, treasurer.

    Mildred Bruner of Warsaw has been appointed county junior chairman by the Republican committee. She will list the names of new voters who have just reached the age of 21 and keep in touch with them.
