October 8 1995

    Warsaw's Don Reinholt competed in the 1995 USA National Championship 24-Hour Endurance Run in Toledo Sept. 15-16.

The race began at noon Saturday and went through to noon on Sunday. Reinhold finished 32nd out of the 132 runners, completing 91-1/2 miles around a 2-mile loop around two lakes on asphalt roads.

    Janet R. Foreman, Joan Staley, Ernest B. Wiggins and Norman P. Hope were among 337 individuals who successfully completed the Certified Public Accountant examination held recently in Indianapolis.

October 8 1955

    Remember - When Warsaw's sharpest "sports," hired large horse-drawn busses on hot summer nights to drive them to Pierceton for a few beers. Pierceton was "wet," Warsaw "dry."


75 Years Ago

October 8 1930

    In contest with 20 teams from all parts of Indiana, the Warsaw pistol team at a statewide shoot held at Franklin won third place.

Out of a possible 1,000, the Culver Military Academy was first with a 906 score; Fort Wayne, second, 890; and Warsaw, third, 887. Members of the team shooting were Mowery, Harmon, Stamper, Straus and Cauffman.
