    1989-90 Homecoming King and Queen at Triton High School: Seniors Matt Stevens and Robyn Askins were crowned last Friday at the Trojans' homecoming football game. The royal couple are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Sherm Stevens and Mr. and Mrs. Robin Askins, Bourbon.

    Ground-breaking ceremonies were held today for a new Camelot Village branch facility of the Counting House Bank of North Webster to be located on the northwest corner of U.S. 30 and State Road 15, just north of the Warsaw city limits.

The new full-service bank facility will be constructed as a medieval castle on the same King Arthur theme as the home office, which also houses the International Palace of Sports Museum.

October 8 1924

    Walter Bratt, promoter of local sporting events, was nosed out of a 100-yard dash here late Saturday night when Charles Armington defeated him by an eyelash. The foot race started at Buffalo Street and ended at Indiana Street. A wager of 75 cents caused the neck-and-neck dash.
