    Jeremy Hepler and Nichole Nelson were crowned the Triton Homecoming King and Queen Friday night. Nelson, of Etna Green, is the daughter of Joe and Lola Nelson. Hepler is the son of Devon Hepler, Bourbon.

    Dorian Luckenbill was all smiles as she received a bouquet after being named the 1975 Warsaw Homecoming Queen. Dorian, a senior, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Luckenbill, 2403 E. Market St., Warsaw.

October 7 1950

    Tom Keough, Winona Lake, made the front page of the Kalamazoo College newspaper, the Index, in a recent issue, with a lengthy humorous feature story describing H-week on the campus.

Some of the ordeals endured by the freshmen in their traditional initiation by the sophomore class included: Trial by the Kangaroo Kourt, where quick answers to trick questions did not always ward off a vigorous paddling; physical training classes at midnight in the boiler room of the men's dorm; calisthenics for girls conducted by sophomore women; and first year girl students recruited to scrub the steps of Hoben Hall with their personal toothbrushes dipped into buckets of water (no soap was supplied).
