Whitko High School graduate Rachel Myers and Tippecanoe Valley graduate Aimee Goslee were cited for outstanding play in their respective sports recently at Franklin College.
Brian Scott, of 123 S. Grant St., Warsaw, was the winner of "Herbie" in a recent contest sponsored by Vore Cinema Corp. Bruce Petro Olds-Cadillac donated the car for the contest. "Herbie" is the star of a number of Walt Disney movies, the most recent being "Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo," but in real life is a Volkswagen.
The September issue of the American Heart Journal contains an article by Dr. Dan Urschel and Mr. Denton Abbey, of Mentone, describing some research work they've been doing in interpretation of electrocardiograms. This work is attracting increased attention among cardiologists, because it has enabled cardiograms to be interpreted on a much more precise basis than was previously possible.
Those attending the Centennial Theatre last night were more than pleased with the Jay Mason Musical Comedy Co. which opened a three-night stand by giving "The Fashion Flirts." Pretty girls, clever dancing, good acting and snappy jokes were the main features. Pete McGinn pleased the audience with his yodeling and Rita Reda and Betty Earle were there with the singing and dancing.
