A wide pathway approaching the dimensions of a well-used road has been worn in the past two years by persons journeying to see the monster oak tree probably the largest in Indiana, located on the Berkey farm four miles northwest of Warsaw.

The tree measured recently by A.L. Scott is just 23-feet 2-inches in circumference, at a height 4 feet above ground. Seven feet above the ground it measured 19-feet 9 inches. Hundreds of initials, names and dates have been carved on this giant burr oak.
