    Zach Reichert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Reichert, Bourbon, was crowned the King, and Allison Hall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chet Hall Jr., Bourbon, was named the Queen during Triton's Homecoming activities Friday.

October 6 1976

    Principal Henry L. Smith announced that four seniors at Wawasee High School have been named commended students in the Merit Program by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Letters of Commendation were presented to Dan Martin, Patricia McMillian, James Schrock, and Robyn Watkins.

These students are among 35,000 commended students nationwide who are being recognized for their outstanding performances on the 1975 Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

    Bob Chaney, of this city, has been chosen as a member of the glee club of Butler University at Indianapolis. He sings in the second tenor section. Bob is a freshman at the university, where he is majoring in pharmacy. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Chaney, 414 W. Fort Wayne St., are his parents.

    Dr. Parley E. Zartmann, Winona Lake, left for New York City, where he will take up immediately his duties as general secretary of the International Union Mission.

Dr. Zartmann is secretary of the National Evangelistic Bureau and expects to continue that work both from his office here and in New York, as well as his duties as secretary of the School of Sacred Music and as director of the Bible Conference already established.
