    Kathy Lewis was voted October's Very Special Person at Mason Health Care. Kathy is helpful, caring and always seems to give that extra effort. As assistant environmental director, she is called to do her job all hours of the day and night. With a smile she accepts her responsibilities and more. Congratulations to this month's Very Special Person, Kathy Lewis.

    Winburn D. Carlin, owner of a farm at Rt. 2, Claypool, has received the Hoosier Homestead Award from the Indiana Department of Commerce.

The Hoosier Homestead Award, sponsored by the Agricultural and Rural Development Division of the Indiana Department of Commerce, honors farms that have operated in the same family for at least 100 years, emphasizing the important role these farms have played in Indiana's economy.

    Bazil O'Reilley, director of instrumental music at Warsaw High School, attended a meeting of the council of the Indiana Music Educators Association held at the Arthur Jordan School of music, Indianapolis. O'Reilley is a member of the state council.

October 5 1926

    Dr. C.C. DuBois, of the Warsaw Clinic, has been chosen the new president of the Thirteenth District Medical Association. He was elected by the association which convened in Elkhart. This group meets once a year. Dr. DuBois will make all arrangements for the meeting next year and will preside over it.
