    Yet another new service has begun in Kosciusko Community Hospital's expanding state-of-the-art Radiology Department. In addition to the ultrasound, CT scanner and mammography equipment added this summer, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) began at KCH Sept. 22.

MRI is similar to CT ("cat") Scan, except that magnetics and radio frequencies are used instead of X-rays.

    Petty Officer First Class Greg Rogers, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Rogers, of Mentone, recently graduated from Regis University, Denver, Colo. He received a B.S. degree in Bio-Medical Electronic Engineering.

Since graduation, he and his wife and daughter are stationed at the Naval Hospital in Newport, R.I.

    Dr. Dan Urschel, Mentone, was notified this week of his election to the board of trustees of the Indiana Heart Foundation. This organization, an affiliate of the American Heart Association, was organized in 1947 to stimulate research in heart diseases in the state of Indiana, and to supply needed medications for the treatment of certain types of diseases of the heart.

    James Rippey, son of David Rippey, of this city, is playing regular end on the Butler University, Indianapolis, football 11 under Coach Pat Page. He recently was pledged to Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
