October 3 1995

    MOREHEAD, Ky. - Mark Krenz and Jeremy Miller are participating in Morehead State University's 156-member marching band for the 1995-96 school year.

Krenz, a sophomore, plays the tuba and is the son of Joseph Krenz, Warsaw. Miller, a freshman, plays percussion and is the son of Don and Vicki Miller, Claypool.

October 3 1980

    The Indiana National Guard pistol team outshot competitors from the Indiana State Police, various police departments and civilian gun clubs to capture the service pistol and "three-gun aggregate" state championships last weekend at the Marion County Fish and Game Preserve.

Among those participating and receiving honors were three Kosciusko County residents. They are: Staff Sgt. Donald Wiesehan, Burket; Sgt. Kevin Myers, Pierceton; and Staff Sgt. Carl Nichols, Warsaw.

    Shirley Ann Redman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Redman, of Bourbon, will be installed as worthy advisor of the Bourbon Order of Rainbow at public rites to be held at the Masonic Hall.

October 3 1930

    Emsley A. Arnold, residing near Claypool, reported to the Warsaw police that his automobile collided with a cow on Ind. 30 near Atwood, knocking the cow down. The cow got up and limped away, after giving Arnold a disgusted look. It is not believed the cow was seriously injured.
