A reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Community Grace Brethren Church on Nov. 3 after the 6 p.m. service to welcome pastor Philip Johnson, his wife, Sandy, and their children, Jessica, JoAnna, Jenna and the "expected" Johnson, to the fellowship.

With seven years of experience, the pastor is excited about serving at CGBC as "half of the youngest pastoral team ever put together in the Grace Brethren fellowship."

Basketball is definitely just around the corner for Kosciusko County high school teams. Pupils at Milford have chosen their cheer leaders for the coming season, which opens Nov. 1. They are Mary Ellen Bray and Mary Beer, both seniors, and Marcia Bryer, a junior.

Mary Ellen will be serving her fourth year, Mary her third and Marcia her second.

Mrs. Earnest Werner was hostess at a very enjoyable Hallowe'en bridge party at her home. Three tables of bridge found Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Richardson prize winners. Mrs. Merl Scoles and Victor Mock drew the consolation prizes. A delicious two-course luncheon was served by the hostess. The Werner home was beautiful in Hallowe'en decorations.
