    Warsaw Christian School PTF recently completed its annual World's Finest Chocolate Sale. The student sold more than $11,000 worth of chocolate. Top seller was second-grader Jeremiah Paseka, with fifth-grader Clayton Folk the runner-up.

October 28 1981

    Recently reminiscing, Jim Klondaris, of Humpty-Dumpty Restaurant, downtown, was telling about the time a customer came in, ordering 100 hamburgers. Jim said that was 25 years ago, on the old. small grill and it took him about 25 minutes. Also, he added, burgers cost 30 cents then.


50 Years Ago

October 28 1956

    A number of high school baton twirlers from this area won honors in the Northern Indiana School Band, Orchestra and Vocal association contests at Fort Wayne.

In baton twirling competition, first division ratings went to Bea Bachman, Syracuse, in group 1; and Barbara Waggoner, Bourbon; Karen Preston, Ligonier; Barbara Fawley, Bourbon; and Michaele Lucas, Warsaw, all group 3. Bachman also was a first division winner in flag-twirling, group 3.

October 28 1931

    Mrs. "Good Samaritan" neighbors of Robert Baker met at his farm and husked his corn crop. Baker has been ill for a month and unable to pay for having his farm cared for.
