October 28 1995

    Leesburg School has in its student body this year eight sets of twins. They are Sarah and David Ferguson, sixth grade; Matthew and Jason Zorn, third; Billy and Dustin Breidert, second; Amy and Sara Mock, first; Ashlie and Ryan Wyman, first; Cody and Ashley Timmons, first; Stephanie and Sara Shafer, second; and Melissa and Mary Olds, fifth. As unusual as this may seem, the plot thickens. The father of the Zorn twins and the father of the Shafer twins are cousins.

    Warsaw-Kosciusko County will apparently regain its own Buick-Pontiac dealership lost here several months ago when Timm Bledsoe closed the agency after several frustrating months of attempting to find a buyer. We hear negotiations are nearing completion by General Motors with Bruce Petro (Cadillac-Oldsmobile-GMC) to take over the franchise.

October 28 1955

    Ruth Stieglitz, Maurine Smith and Dixie Scott will lead cheers for the Milford Trojans basketball team this season. The girls were chosen by the students at Milford High School in a recent election.

October 28 1930

    About 25 friends of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Sands gathered on the south side of the court house Saturday evening and then motored to the Sands home on Wood Street to give them a belling. After a gay ride over the streets of the city, the bellers were treated by Mr. and Mrs. Sands, who were married last Thursday. Mrs. Sands was formerly Marguerite Fowler.
