Kay Leslie of Warsaw was among four Ivy Tech students recently elected as officers of the 1992-93 Student Senate.
John Brenneman, of 1590 Park Ave., Winona Lake, recently shot an eight-point 165-pound buck with his bow and arrow. He was hunting about eight miles east of Winona Lake using a regular bow and took only one arrow. It is his fourth deer in five years.
After waiting eight long years, Warsaw High School celebrated its first undisputed Northeastern Conference football championship. The local Tigers grabbed the loop title and also climaxed their first undefeated, untied season since 1942 by edging the Columbia City Eagles, 13 to 7, before an overflow crowd of nearly 5,000 fans at Fisher Field.
Members of the "I'll Try" class of the Brethren Sunday School met on Friday evening at the home of Willodean Wallick on North Bronson Street, for a Halloween party. Games and contests were enjoyed until a late hour, and the prize in a peanut contest was awarded to Louella Long. The rooms were decorated in keeping with Halloween and a feature of the evening was the telling of ghost stores.
