    Jake Tusing of Leesburg was one of 13 Hoosier 4-H'ers attending the annual National 4-H Dairy Conference in Madison, Wis.

More than 200 young people from 25 states and six Canadian provinces attended the seminar.

    Harold and Esther Gawthrop, Rt. 1, Etna Green, were selected as the Kosciusko County Farm Bureau's man and woman of the year for their outstanding contribution of service to both the organization and the community. Gawthrop has served as president for the past five years of the local farm group, and Mrs. Gawthrop has been active in the bureau's women's organization for 15 years.

    Wooden buttons were discussed at the meeting of the Warsaw Button Society held at the home of Mrs. Arthur Lowery, of East Market Street. A paper on the subject, prepared by Mrs. Charles Boyer, was read by Mrs. James Cook.

October 27 1924

    Paul Reed, well-known Warsaw young man, is making an admirable record this year as star tackle on the DePauw University football team. Reed has played every game this season, although only a sophomore.
