    Four Warsaw players were named All-Northern Lakes Conference in a vote of the conference coaches.

Seniors Sarah Calhoun, Lisa Estep and Melissa Bolles were all unanimous picks for the first team. Senior Ann Fribley was named honorable mention. Also, first-year Tiger coach jamie Byron was named as the NLC Coach of the Year.

    Two Manchester College freshmen from Warsaw Community High School are on the Spartan football team this fall. WCHS graduates Dave Berg is a wide receiver and kicker and Ken Jones is also an offensive end. Jeff Ferrell of Rochester is a tackle.

    Gene Likens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Colonel Likens, of Sidney, has been elected president of the senior class at Manchester College.

Charles Boyer, of North Manchester, was elected vice president of the sophomore class.

October 27 1931

    A letter mailed at the Warsaw postoffice on Jan. 26, 1905, by Mrs. Stanley P. Oplinger to her husband at Nanticoke, Pa., nearly 27 years ago, has just been delivered to Mr. Oplinger at the Roosevelt Hotel, at Denver, Colo., where Mr. Oplinger now resides. The letter was mailed from here by Mrs. Oplinger while she was visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Thorne.
