Hundreds of hours of practice paid off Saturday for the Tippecanoe Valley High School Viking Guard when they became Class C regional champions. The Viking Guard competed at Elkhart Central against 17 district winners in the annual Indiana State School Music Association regional contest. The group scored top points in its division to become the 1995 regional champs.
Dan Mithoefer, of Claypool, won the two-year-old cow class contest during the Central National Guernsey Show at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wis.
The Fulton County 4-H Dairy Judging Team placed second in the national meet held at Richmond, Va. Those on the team were Stuart Thompson, Akron; Richard Fields, Grass Creek; and Lyle Gohn and Joe Moore, Rochester.
Harriet and Jennie Frazer returned home Thursday from Indianapolis, where they attended the state federation of Women's clubs. They were sent as representatives from the Warsaw Reading Club.
