    Bill Ballinger won a second straight world title in wrist wrestling at Petaluma, Calif., recently.

The 27-year-old, weighing in at 150 pounds, competes in his weight division with both right and left arms. The ambidextrous father of three young children won the left-handed competition in his weight class and placed third right-handed in his division.

    PLYMOUTH - For the second straight year, Warsaw Community High School can today boast a state badminton championship.

The Tigers got a first place from singles player Chandra Kline, a third from Karen Kachlik and second and third from doubles teams of Moyra Riddle-Len Carr and Nancy Apeland-Yvonne Campbell to win the title over seven other teams here.

    Winners of the 1951 Warsaw Times-Union outstanding newspaperboy contest were Larry Melott, for Warsaw, and Stanely Kirkpatrick, of North Webster, for the out-of-town carriers, it was announced today by Ronald Sharp, the circulation manager.

Harry Gigous Jr. and Jimmy Warren were Warsaw runners up and Gale Wood, South Whitley, took second place among the out-of-towners.

    Warsaw Elks last night had as their guest of honor Eugene Hargrave, premier catcher of the Cincinnati National League baseball team, who also topped the list of hitters for the season. Hargrave is a member of the Warsaw Elks Lodge. He was initiated in the local lodge about 12 years ago when he was active in baseball here, having his start as a catcher with Walter Cook's Warsaw Maroons.
