    BOURBON - Troy Albert was hired Friday as the new varsity basketball coach at Triton High School.

Albert, 33, who is teaching at Pioneer High School, will start at Triton Nov. 8. He will teach eighth-grade math and physical education.

    Three local men recently completed "Wood Badge Training," an extensive scout leader training course. Bill Deerwester, scoutmaster of Troop 730 First United Methodist Church of Warsaw; Jim Doyle, scoutmaster of Troop 819 Knights of Columbus, Warsaw; and Bill Thompson, Kosciusko District Training Chairman, received their Wood Badge "beads" signifying completion of the course at the annual ham and bean dinner held Oct. 4 at the American Legion hall in Warsaw.

    Hobart Creighton, of Warsaw, was elected as president of the Indiana Cattle Feeders' Association held Friday in connection with annual fall cattle feeders day at Purdue University, West Lafayette.

    Winifred Davis celebrated her 11th birthday Thursday evening by having a Halloween party. Games and stunts were the entertaining features. Verna Cook and Lois Harmon received the prizes. Those present were Helen and Alice Watkins, Lois Harmon, Mildred Evers, Marjorie Williams, Mary Harmon, Verna Cook, Barbara Dickey, Mae Trumbull, Helen Hatfield, Ellen Risley, Miriam Davis, Maud Hanna and Messrs. Walter Pittenger, Donald Harmon and Robert Harmon.
