    Marie Trump is Pierceton's 1992 "Citizen of the Year." She was honored by the Pierceton Chamber of Commerce at its 20th annual awards banquet. Trump, a member of the Whitko School Board, is the mother of five children and has been involved in many community activities and organizations. She and her late husband, Richard, purchased Northern Gases in 1962 and she is still active in the operation of the business.

    J. Homer Shoop, president of the Counting House Bank, North Webster, has been honored with membership in the 50 Year Club of the Indiana Bankers Association.

Shoop follows in the footsteps of his father, the late Walter E. Shoop, prominent Pierceton banker who spend a lifetime in the banking profession. His father had been a member of the IBA 50 Year Club for 15 years when he died last June.

    Mrs. Robert Webster was elected president of the Crossroads Home Demonstration Club at a meeting in the home of Mrs. Merl Brown, Route 1, Warsaw.

Other officers elected were Mrs. Lester Young, vice president; Mrs. Ivy Dettwiler, secretary; Mrs. Louis Engle, assistant secretary; and Mrs. John Randall, treasurer.

October 22 1927

    A masquerade party was held at the Haven Cook home four miles southwest of Warsaw Friday evening. Nearly all came masked. Mrs. Robert Wagner received the prize for being the best masked and also another prize for being the best guesser of the crowd.
