    Although Tamra Payne picked up her high school diploma in the spring, she is continuing to pick up honors for herself and Warsaw Community High School.

In the fall edition of National Coach, Payne was one of 75 individuals from the 50 states to be named to the high school Prince All-American tennis team.

    Tippecanoe Lake's Matt Dalton (he's top Dalton Foundries exec) returning to his favorite hobby, flying, after a lengthy layoff. Matt recently completed a crash instrument course and now flies periodically cross country to Los Angeles.

October 18 1950

    Janet Walter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Walter, of East Main Street, has added another trophy to her already large collection of awards for baton twirling. She competed in the senior division of the Piqua Open Championship baton twirling contest held at Piqua, Ohio, and was awarded second place - bringing home a beautiful triple-figure, 18-inch trophy and a special type monogrammed baton.

    The employees of the Troy Laundry presented to Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Brown a spot-light for their new Willys-Knight car last evening. The light was presented with best wishes and good luck on their future trip to Florida.
