Police Chief Winebrenner and Mayor John Hansman went hunting bitter sweet, not bootleggers this time. Mayor Hansman had a narrow escape from death by a rattle snake and was saved by Winebrenner's marksmanship.

The mayor's story follows: "Winee and I were driving along when we saw a large rattler, 17-years-old with 17 rattles, in the road. Winee shot the snake as it hurdled over the radiator, cutting it in two. The chief is some marksman and crooks watch out," said Hansman.
