    WEST LAFAYETTE - Ashley Dick and Carolyn Schmahl have been inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau honor society of nursing at Purdue University.

Dick is the daughter of Richard and Teresa Dick, Syracuse, and Schmahl is the daughter of Douglas and Judith Schmahl, Syracuse. Both are seniors.

    Winners of Warsaw Community High School golf team awards are Renea Morris, Adult Tiger Club's most improved and coach's award for attitude; Jill Kissell, Tiger putting towel and trophy and team sectional medalist; and Kelli Anderson, most valuable player and lowest season average (47.2). Anderson and Morris averaged 17.9 putts each, but Morris had one few putt.

    A Sidney feed and implement dealer, Ted Harp, 47, started his annual trek to the Harlan County mountain country of Kentucky.

Harp will travel the entire distance and back on his bicycle, and he figures to make the trip there in about three days and the entire trip will be from 10 days to two weeks long.

    Harvey L. Hire, of Mentone, a senior at Purdue University, has been pledged to Catalyst, an honorary fraternity. Membership to the organization is based on the personality and activities of the candidate.
