    Three students from Wawasee High School have been named AP Scholars by the College Board in recognition of exceptional achievement on the college-level Advance Placement exams.

Ben Yoder qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning grades of three or above on five or more AP exams, with an average exam grade of at least 3.5. Chandra Mathew and Kevin Price qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP exams, with grades of three or higher.

October 16 1981

    Warsaw's Sherry Clyde established a school record in diving, an event in which the Tigers scored a one-two-three sweep during the 103-65 win at Bremen Thursday night.

Clyde led the Tigers' diving domination with a score of 223.95, eclipsing her previous WCHS record of 212.80, set last year. Teammates Tracy Long and Sonja Witt were second and third.

October 16 1956

    Our Towners, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Munsch, of East Center Street, returned recently from a two-week vacation trip in the South. Mrs. Munsch tells of an amusing sign in a small southern Indiana town which read: "Population - 3,000 happy people and a few old soreheads."

October 16 1931

    According to the records in the Kosciusko County courthouse, the present courthouse was completed 47 years ago on June 1, 1884, and work was commenced on April 1, 1880, taking four years and two months to build it. The total cost of buildings and fixtures complete was $197,799.55 according to Joseph S. Baker, county auditor, in 1884.
