LEESBURG - Craig Tschohl shot a hole-in-one at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club.
Selecting this week's top back was no easy chore. Among area players, six running backs exceeded 100 yards rushing and three quarterbacks threw for more than 100 yards. But perhaps the most valuable contribution anyone made to his team's cause was that of Steve Bidwell. The Whitko junior helped his team win its second straight game for the first time this season with 151 yards rushing on only 13 carries and a pair of touchdowns, including a 69-yard jaunt. He also had six solo tackles, three assists and a fumble recovery to spark the Wildcats' 18-0 blanking of Fairfield.
Robert Moore, a member of the Warsaw High School delegation to the National Forensic League district student congress, held at Peru, received a silver medal as one of the two best speakers in the house of representatives, marking the third consecutive year a Warsaw speech student has captured a top award.
Mrs. Robert Brady left this morning for Indianapolis, where she will attend the Great Council of Pocahontas. The Past Great Pocahontas held a meeting this afternoon and will enjoy a banquet this evening at the Dennison Hotel. Mrs. Brady is a Past Great Pocahontas.
