    Robert Hinshaw of Warsaw was given an award by the Indiana Pharmacists Association for 50 years in the profession of pharmacy. Hinshaw received his BS degree in pharmacy from Indianapolis College of Pharmacy in 1943.

    Kosciusko County Reserve Officers and other county policemen received awards last week for attending classes and completion of 40 hours of training. They are, Kent Hare, Etna Green Town Marshal Eldon Burgess, County Police Sheriff John Hammersley, County Patrolman Gerry Mose, John Hart, John Kussmaul, John Hoppus, Tim Mosher, John Hurd, Bob Brindle, Al Streby, Lowell Dobbs, Steve Brown, Jon Custer, Eric Coburn, Jerry Black, Jerry Eisaman, Dick Waterson, Bob Conley, Lawrence Wilcoxson, Brad Griffis and John Willard.

October 15 1953

    Patrick Jakob, son of Mrs. Jean Jakob, Eagle Street, was top winner of the vacation reading project sponsored by the Warsaw public library.

Patrick, who also won the 1952 contest, had a score of 100 books during the past summer. Ann Loop was second with 70 books and Anna Bush third with a tally of 65. Each will select a favorite story as a prize.

October 15 1928

    Dr. J.D. Richer, Warsaw physician, filed an application with County Clerk Leland Kinsey for passports for himself and Mrs. Richer for a trip through the Holy Land. The doctor plans an extensive tour and hopes to sail in January.
