Lake City Bank won the Warsaw men's softball Division 3 season-ending tournament at the City-County Athletic Complex recently. Members are Kevin Deardorff, Scott Tilden, Darrin Hofer, Barry Bailey, D.J. Schoeff, Jeremy Cox, Tony Cox, Roy Gayton, Chris Paris, Chad Brouyette, Chad Stolfus, Bill Gayton and Thom Frantz.

Kosciusko County Soil Judging teams did well at the 4-H/FFA Soil Judging Contest held at the Tri-County Fish and Game Area. Two FFA teams from Wawasee High School walked away with top honors and will go on to compete at the Area 10 Soil Judging Contest to be held at Valparaiso.

Team members are Dave Roberts and Chris Beezley, both of Syracuse; Mike Shock, Jim Rhoades and Scott Basker, all of North Webster; Marie Schafer and Randy Beer, both of Milford; and Troy Klein, Warsaw.

October 10 1956

A patent has been granted to Joe J. Ettinger, East Main Street, and Robert E. Delp, South Buffalo Street, it was learned here today.

The patent has been given on a convex spinal frame used in the support of a reclining medical patient and has been assigned to the Zimmer Manufacturing Co., of which Ettinger and Delp are officials.

The Delta Theta Tau sorority of Etna Green met at the home of Ruby Jontz. The pledge service was held for Mary Vernette. Refreshments were served. The members then spent a pleasant evening playing bridge.
