    Warsaw area residents Marilyn Kruger and Tammy Pozorski were recent award winners at the First Annual Regional Fine Arts Show sponsored by the LaFontaine Arts Council in Huntington.

Kruger received a Judge's Award, while Pozorski placed second in Class III.

    Cynthia Kerlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kerlin, Rt. 2, Warsaw, and Mary Ann Kunkle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kunkle, Warsaw, Goshen College students from the Warsaw area, are living in the Central American nation of Belize this fall as more than tourists.

They are two of 56 Goshen students trying to immerse themselves totally in a foreign culture for 14 weeks in a college Study-Service Trimester.

    Malcolm B. Beezley, North Webster, has been promoted to sergeant at an advanced air strip in Korea, where he is a member of the 49th Fighter-bomber wing. Beezley is an engine mechanic on F-84 Thunderjets, which fly daily combat missions over communist targets. He has been in the Far East for the past two years.

    Word has been received by Warsaw friends that Harry Nye, J., son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nye, South Washington Street, has been given a part in the annual All Men's Review play at Purdue University. The play is titled "Assorted Nuts." He is one of three freshman boys to make the play cast. Nye graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1926.
