NORTH MANCHESTER - N.L. Grogg, living west of Lukens Lake, is forced to admit that he is the champion clover seed raiser of these parts. Last week he threshed 29 acres of clover, gathering therefrom 78 bushels of clover seed. In addition, he harvested 45 tons of hay from this field a little earlier in the season. The place is what is known as the old Henry Hatfield farm, and is one of the oldest farmed places in this part of the country, Grogg saying it has a history of being farmed as early as 1780.
