    The Warsaw Tiger Pride Marching Band was awarded the top score of the Class A division competition this past Saturday at the Indiana State School Music Association district marching band competition at Penn High School. The band also qualified for the regional contest to be held Oct. 17 in Elkhart.

    John E. Kleeman, of Hull House Men's Wear, was committed today by United Fund campaign chairman John Hall to head the northern county division in this fall's $200,000 campaign. The goal of Kleeman's division is $8,841.

    Word has been received that H. G. Davis, agent for the Big Four railroad at Milford for the past 17 years, has been promoted to supervising agent for the railroad with offices in Wabash.

    When Babe Ruth, home-run swatter, was walked Thursday in the second of the world's series games at the Polo grounds in New York, the moaning of the crowd of nearly 50,000 fans was heard in Kosciusko County. This was made possible by a radio-phone at the Westminster Hotel, Winona Lake. The wireless set being operated by H. A. Dye.
