    Warsaw's girls' cross country team won its second straight NLC championship by going undefeated in the dual meet season and then winning the conference meet Saturday.

Oct. 21 1972

    Warsaw Fire Chief Norman Banghart received the Kosciusko County "Fireman of the Year" award for 1972 at the annual county fireman's fish fry at the fairgrounds. Banghart, a fireman here for 25 years, has been chief of the local department for 15 of those years.

Oct. 21 1947

    The hayloft of the Hines barn, south of Warsaw, was the scene of a spooky Halloween masquerade party Wednesday evening. Miss Mary Lou Hines was hostess for the occasion, and the barn was appropriately decorated with pumpkins, cornstalks and dimly colored lights.

Oct. 21 1922

    Ira Roberts, four miles northeast of Leesburg, delivered one load of 117 bushels of oats to the Leesburg Grain and Milling Company, for which he received 35 cents per bushel.
