    INDIANAPOLIS - Warsaw Community High School Band's marching percussion group repeated as grand national champions.

The 24-member group won the title for the third year in a row at the Hoosier Dome. The director of the Warsaw group is Mickey Ratliff.

November 8 1979

    Demolition equipment was used this week to raze four houses and clear the construction site for a new jail-court facility in downtown Warsaw. An old brick house at the corner of Main and Washington streets - which was sold to the county be Cleon and Iris Overmyer - was torn down by a crane. Other homes razed by the bulldozers were sold to the county by Norman and Robert Clay, Paul Graham and Ervin J. Bolt, all of Warsaw.

    Mrs. Robert Devenney, Mrs. Kenneth Throckmorton, Mrs. Royal Clark and Mrs. Robert Davis, of Warsaw, and Mrs. Marvin Coble and Mrs. Fred Snyder, of Pierceton, are attending a regional conference of Girl Scout leaders at French Lick.

    Mrs. Frank Bright was hostess at her home on East Market Street to members of her bridge club. Two tables of bridge progressed, with Mrs. B.H. Bonner winning first prize and Mrs. I.E. Gresso second.
