    Tippecanoe Valley recently announced its fall athletic awards. They are: B.J. Brown (most improved, cross country); Tamar Strohschein (most improved, cross country); Jill Faulkner (most improved, golf); Ryan McFarland (most valuable, cross county); Aura Strohschein (most valuable, cross county); Jamie Phillips (mental attitude, volleyball); Brandy Manns (most improved, volleyball); Kara Tucker (low medalist, golf); Quentin Law (most valuable, football); Shanna Dunnuck (most improved, swimming); Eve Boggs (most valuable, swimming); and Eric Love (No. 1 singles, tennis).

    NORTH WEBSTER - Bill DeWitt, of Bowen Motors, phoned the other day, only to ask this Times-Union and rep to "wait a minute." After a rather puzzling jangle, bang and clatter, he returned to the phone and said, "Sorry, about that ... but I had a fire in my waste basket."

    Margie Long and Duke Fisher will play the romantic leads in "Sabrina Fair," which Warsaw High School juniors will present.

Margie will play Sabrina, daughter of the chauffeur for the wealthy and genteel Larrabee family. Duke will be Linus Larrabee Jr., elder son.

    Mrs. Almon Gerard was hostess to the members of her bridge club at her home on West Center Street. Three tables of bridge progressed with Mrs. Oliver Teel receiving prize for high score, Mrs. W.A. Gasaway receiving prize for second high score, and Mrs. Clifford Roberds receiving prize for third high.
